Music

Christ the Anchor's worship music blends Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs into a vibrant and eclectic style. Our repertoire includes lively dance tunes, Anglican chants, anthems, and traditional hymns. A core goal is to have the entire congregation confidently singing in four-part harmony

Our approach to four-part singing draws inspiration from the folk vibe of shape-note tradition. Unlike typical choral arrangements, our harmony parts consist of treble (replacing the soprano), alto, tenor, and bass. Melodies are usually carried in the treble or tenor lines, and both men and women are encouraged to sing in either of those two parts, typically in different octaves. We sing loudly.

To support your learning, we offer AI-generated recordings for each vocal part across a growing selection of our songs, with new recordings added as we are able.
