On this week's episode Joe and Tim discuss God's covenant with Noah as recorded in Genesis 9:1-17. They compared Noah's commissioning with that of Adam in Genesis 1:28-30; identifying the main similarity being that both start with a blessing of fruitfulness. They also observed two primary distinctions: (1), for Noah the animals are given as food and (2) man is given authority to bring capital punishment for crimes of bloodshed. Finally, they worked through God's one-sided covenant with Noah and ended with the observation that everything starts with the grace of God; a theme that continues through the rest of the Bible.
