Luke 24

On this week's episode Joe and Tim discuss the resurrection narrative in Luke 24, noting that after the women discover the empty tomb the disciples initially dismiss their story as “idle tales.” They trace Peter’s urgent run to the tomb and Jesus’ post-resurrection encounters—first on the road to Emmaus, where he breaks bread to open their eyes, and then in Jerusalem, where he eats fish to prove his physical resurrection. They explore how Christ fulfills Old Testament prophecy and how God “opens” our understanding of Scripture. Finally, they reflect on Jesus’ commission to be witnesses in Jerusalem and beyond, empowered by the Spirit.
