Dear Church,
We have folks signed up to host church through Easter (April 20), but not much filled in after that. If you are able to host, please sign up here.
Our journey through Mark continues this week in chapter 14. On the podcast, Joe and Tim discuss Mark 14, where Jesus prepares his disciples for his imminent departure and the unfolding events leading to his crucifixion. They address the significance of the anointing in Bethany, emphasizing the woman’s costly act as a preparation for Jesus' burial. They also examine the institution of the Lord’s Supper during Passover, highlighting how it transforms the traditional Jewish meal into a new covenant symbol of fellowship with Christ. The conversation delves into the disciples’ misunderstandings and internal struggles, particularly their inability to grasp the full implications of Jesus’ words (yet.. but they will), including the foretold betrayal by Judas and Peter’s impending denial. Listen to the podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
