Dear Church,
We're going to add a couple extra weeks as we go through Gensis 1 and 2 to explore additional Biblical teachings on manhood and womanhood. This week we're focusing on Psam 1 (the goodness of man), and Proverbs 31 (the goodness of woman).
On the podcast this week, Stephen and Joe discuss Genesis 2, Psalm 1, and Proverbs 31, highlighting God’s intentional design of man and woman. It's good to be a man; it's good to be a woman. These Scriptures descibe the goodness and glories of manhood (Psalm 1), and womanhood (Proverbs 31). In Psam 1, men are steady, rooted, and fruitful like a tree planted by water—anchored in God’s Word, productive, and dependable—while women are portrayed in Proverbs 31 as strong, resourceful, and industrious, managing a household as an active enterprise with authority and wisdom. Both are called to fear the Lord, find identity in mutual interdependence, and live out their design as a calling to reflect the image of God and his mutifaceted glories.
