Dear Church,
As a reminder, I'll be teaching "Easter Anthem" to the Psalm Sing group at Atlas Coffee this Friday (tomorrow). I'd love to have a group from our church there to help on board the group by filling in some singers in each part who know the song. Here's the details from Jeff Rodland about the Psalm Singing:
"This Friday night is our Kick-Off Psalm Sing of the Year, and it’s going to be a great one! We’re joining together with a handful of other churches in Denver to lift our voices in one joyful noise to the Lord! We will sing some Psalms & Hymns we already know, and learn some really great new ones. We hope you can join us as we learn to praise God by singing His word back to Him. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Bring any friend, family, neighbor, churchman, or politician you like along with you.
Please RSVP HERE.HERE is a YouTube playlist of the songs.
HERE is a Spotify playlist of the songs (although it's missing a couple of the good ones).
HERE is a Google sheet with all the resources.*NOTE: The Easter Anthem is a wonderful Easter Ballad sung in parts. HERE is a link to aid your preparations.

We are continuing our Genesis study in Genesis 14 this week. On the podcast Joe and Rick explore Genesis 14:18–24, focusing on Abraham’s return from battle and his encounter with Melchizedek, king of Salem, who brings bread and wine and blesses Abraham in the name of God Most High. Joe and Rick emphasize the theological weight of Melchizedek as both king and priest—appearing before the Law, without genealogy, and prefiguring Christ’s eternal priesthood referenced in Hebrews. They contrast Melchizedek’s generosity and blessing with the king of Sodom’s self-interested request, highlighting a moral divide between givers and takers. Abraham’s response—tithing to Melchizedek while refusing any reward from Sodom—demonstrates faith, integrity, and a refusal to grasp at God’s promises prematurely. Overall, the discussion frames this passage as foundational for later biblical themes of priesthood, blessing, stewardship, and trusting God’s timing. Listen to the podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
