Dear Church,
It's Easter Choir time! This Sunday after church we will start learning a couple of songs in anticipation of Good Friday and Easter. If you want to come prepared, freshen up on your part for Easter Antherm. Also, please join us for another Psalm Sing with Redeemer community on March 6th, I'll be teaching the rest of Easter Anthem to that group and would love to have help from our folks-- but more importantly, it's a blast.
Our journey through Genesis continues this week. On the podcast Tim and Joe discuss Genesis 17, emphasizing the significance of God's covenant with Abraham. They highlight the name changes from Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah, which reflect their new roles in God's divine plan for multiple nations. The requirement of circumcision is introduced as a sign of this covenant, marking the descendants who are to inherit the promise of the land and serve as God's chosen people. The discussion also underscores God's sovereignty, as He affirms the promise of a son, Isaac, through Sarah despite their advanced ages, distinguishing him from Ishmael. Ultimately, Tim and Joe illustrate how this covenant points to a broader theological theme of faithfulness and divine purpose that extends through generations, including believers today who are considered part of Abraham's spiritual lineage. Listen to the podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
If you are able to host in the upcoming weeks or months, please sign up here.
