Worship Service, March 30

Service Location: the Maes' (3896 S Elati St, Englewood)
Time: 10:00am

Dear Church,

I want to highlight the upcoming Psalm sing with redeemer community on March 28 (that's this Fruday at Atlas Coffee on south Broadway). I volunteerd to teach Easter Anthem at that event and I need your help! It would be super helpful to have people who have learned each part to be there to help teach it. I hope you can make it!

Our journey through Mark continues this week in chapter 13. On the podcast, Joe and Tim discuss the complexity of interpreting Mark 13, highlighting Jesus' predictions about the destruction of Jerusalem and the end times. Tim explains how the disciples wrongly assumed the coming of the kingdom with earthly power within several years. Jesus corrected their timeline with warnings of trials, persecution, and false prophets. They note that Jesus' prediction of the temple’s destruction was fulfilled literally when Romans dismantled it stone by stone for melted gold. They conclude with a discussion of Jesus call to watchfulness—and stress that Christians are called to think long term, but be prepared for Jesus' return at anytime. Listen to the podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

If you are able to host in the upcoming weeks or months, please sign up here.
